 Job Duties 1. Develops and maintains patient education materials for the Laser Center for Vision Care and private patient practice; works with faculty and other senior staff to develop materials; updates and revises materials as technology and services change.

2. Provides basic information to patients on laser surgery and other surgical procedures at weekly patient education seminars in coordination with department faculty.

3. Serves as a resource to patients with complex surgical procedures to provide coordination of services, facilitate communication between provider and patient, and to liaison with various departments providing care to patients.

4. Provides written monthly written reports on data from procedures performed; minutes from the monthly Laser Center meeting; seminar tracking reports; conversion reports; and referral source tracking.

5. Plans and coordinates all patient education seminars to include Keratorefractive Procedures, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma, etc.

6. Gathers and assembles all demographic patient data in related areas and presents data in meetings to faculty and senior staff.

7. Generates and maintains written reports and spreadsheets documenting and tracking patient inquiry trends; provides analysis of data for presentation to Chair, Manager and Department Marketing and Communications Manager to help determine future marketing campaigns.

8. Coordinates monthly Laser Center for Vision Care clinical and marketing meetings; coordinates agenda, handouts and all data to be presented.

9. Develop budget for patient education materials and patient education seminars.

10. Compiles and disseminates patient information packets, schedules Keratorefractive exam appointments and/or any other appointments as needed or requested by the faculty.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

 Comments Support of busy refractive practice. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to speak in front of large groups. A flexible schedule is needed to coordinate and attend weekly evening seminars. Healthcare experience is a must. Experience with a refractive practice is highly preferred. Must have MS-Excel skills.
