| Job Duties |
1. Coordinates provider billing enrollment, additions, and updates
provider data to IDX Provider Dictionary numbers 3, 123, 790, and
Cactus for system billing providers.
2. Acts as liasion for Provider Enrollment unit with other departments
and clinical departments as necessary in support of group and
provider enrollment and dictionary numbers 3, 123, and 790
maintenance.
3. Makes recommendations regarding billing enrollment administration
and system enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of
provider billing environment and re-enrollment.
4. Assists with implementation of projects regarding provider enroll-
ment and re-enrollment, maintains provider billing enrollment
information and unit's provider enrollee filing system. Produces
and analyzes various Information Systems IDX Provider Edit Reports
and Provider Information Unit enrollment status reports.
5. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with clinic-
al departments, Contract Management and all departments. Answers
questions from management and staff and clinical department
personnel regarding provider enrollment and IDX provider data.
Develops and maintains working relationships with personnel at
governmental agencies.
6. Trains new staff in IDX dictionary numbers 3, 123, and 790
maintenance, billing enrollment application processing guidelines,
policies and procedures used by Provider Information Systems and
federal and state program carriers and agencies. Assists in
developing reports.
7. Coordinates training classes with clinical department to ensure
completion of applications.
8. Updates Cactus program of government provider number received.
Tracks and logs all enrolling providers on government spreadsheet
sending it to all clinical departments.
9. Resolves edit issues from Billing Operations department pertaining
to enrollment.
10. Couriers all department requests for external and internal
departments. Enrolls new groups to Electronic Data Information and
Electronic Funds Transfer.
11. Processes weekly reports for billing purposes. Assists other
University of Texas Southwestern Health System departments on an as
needed basis.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
