| Job Duties |
1. Posts surgical cases utilizing scheduling protocol with respect to
block time, surgical privileges, and time allotment. Copies,
collates, and distributes surgery schedule in timely manner.
2. Maintains Operating Room change log and notifies appropriate team
members of changes in timely manner.
3. Transcribes and maintains confidentiality of vital patient
information. Transcribes complete and accurate data transcription
from Operating Room record to Operating Room log. Documents all
requests for special equipment.
4. Answers telephone in professional manner and communicates any and
all messages and/or changes regarding surgery schedule in
appropriate and timely manner.
5. Operates office equipment such as telephone, beeper, computer,
printer, fax machine and xerox machine. Operates computer software
applications effectively and proficiently.
6. Completes special reports and projects in timely manner.
7. Organizes and prioritizes scheduling tasks based on identified
need. Performs scheduling duties in manner that is cost effective
without compromising quality patient care.
8. Serves as professional and technical subject matter expert and
resource person.
9. Provides administrative and scheduling support to surgery staff and
physicians.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
