| Job Duties |
1. Develops working relationships with Clinic Managers, Medical
Directors, Unit Managers, and Nursing leadership with a goal of
understanding "access priorities" and developing protocols to allow
scheduling of patient clinic visits, tests and procedures in the
University Hospitals and Clinics by staff in Guest and Patients
Services.
2. Facilitates access for patients, employees and Physicians to UT
Southwestern Ambulatory Clinics and Hospitals and utilities
contacts developed by the Outreach Staff.
3. Uses clinical nursing experience and judgment in the application
of procedures, techniques and practices to assess patient needs.
4. Serves as a resource person and role model to Guest and Patient
Services employees.
5. Uses knowledge of HIPAA, Service Recovery, Complaints and Risk
Management to address difficult, awkward situations in a supportive
role with tact and diplomacy. Applies strong customer service
skills and excellent personal interactions, with the ability to
constructively interact with physicians, managers, and support
staff and obtain University Hospitals and Clinics goals.
6. Takes ownership of solving problems or issues of importance to
patients, physicians and employees.
7. Works with minimal supervision, adaptability and high tolerance for
ambiguous work situations.
8. Uses computerized medical record (especially scheduling) to
facilitate patient and physician access to UT Southwestern
Hospitals and Clinics.
9. Communicates plans and organize work in a logical and efficient
manner.
10. Works in a cooperative manner with staff in Guest and Patient
Services as well as with physicians, managers and/or physicians
office staff.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

STRONG "TRAIGE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE" EXPERIENCE. EPIC and or Electronic
