Experience & Education Required (any one of the following):

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field and two (2) years experience in business or public administration with emphasis on customer service in financial or contracting management.

Security This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
 Job Duties 1. Reviews research funding information by reading guidelines, searching internet, identifying sponsor regulations and policies as well as implementing grant process.

2. Provides post-award support to departments by assisting in award changes, providing reports, completing budget changes as related to grants and contracts.

3. Prepares and/or approves on-line forms regarding expenditures, journal vouchers, or budget review as prescribed by accounting compliance procedures.

4. Assists in development and implementation of new or revised accounting and operational procedures.

5. Furnishes data for general ledger accounts or further analysis related to various financial activities.

6. Knowledge of state laws, Board of Regents' guidelines, federal regulations, and University policy as it pertains to the grants and contracts.

7. May provide guidance to research departments by interpreting federal, sponsor, and university guidelines to verify adherence to these policies.

8. May prepare monthly, quarterly and/or annual financial status reports, schedules or spreadsheets as required.

9. May provide training or staff development to peers and/or other departments as related to a Post-Award program or procedure.

10. May be responsible for administrative or monitoring activities related to Post-Awards programs or projects. May support activities as related to the Indirect-Cost Proposal.

11. May support Activity Confirmation group with training assistance, classroom materials or other administrative tasks.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.
