| Job Duties |
1. Prepares cash drawer for daily activity.
2. Receives checks and cash payments for various accounts due,
property deposits, parking permits, traffic violations,
registration fees, department deposits, etc.; issues receipts for
cash payments.
3. Cashes personal checks for students, staff, and faculty, following
established policies.
4. Assists in counting cash received from bank and counts own
cash drawer twice daily.
5. Prepares change orders for exchange of cash.
6. Makes cash refunds for malfunctioning vending machines, obtaining
receipt for each refund.
7. May assist in preparation of twice daily bank deposits,
microfilming deposits and cash orders, running tapes to ascertain
accuracy of deposits, and preparing deposit slips.
8. May make payments from petty cash; gives proper receipts; checks
for correct account number; runs tapes.
9. May dispense student loan and payroll checks upon proper
identification.
10. May add prices of food or merchandise items selected by customers
on cash register.
11. Recieves and checks cash drawer for correctness at beginning
and end of each shift; takes cash register reading; places
money and cash tape into bank deposit bag; turns in daily receipts
to supervisor.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
