| Job Duties |
1. Coordinates all aspects of assigned CME activities including
pre-event arrangements, on-site management, and reconciliation of
post-event issues.
2. Conducts and plans meetings for assigned activities to determine
the purpose and content, target audience, educational design,
professional specialty credit needs. Establishes activity
timeline and assigns tasks.
3. Ensures assigned activities adhere to the standards of the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, as well
as be familiar with the FDA, OIG, and PhRMA guidelines that
pertain to regulatory aspects of CME.
4. Develops marketing plans to ensure appropriate attendance. Uses
available resources to promote activity to target audience.
5. Establishes a budget plan based on expected revenue/expenses.
Manages the activity according to the established budget.
6. Generates income through grant solicitation and commercial
exhibits ensuring that course directors and industry
representatives are in compliance with applicable guidelines.
7. Acts as a representative of UT Southwestern and interfaces on a
professional level with internal and external vendors, including
medical illustrators, printers, AV, caterers, and travel agents,
our physician audience, and University faculty/staff.
8. Delegates tasks to support staff members to ensure data entry,
meeting registrations and correspondence is completed in a timely
manner.
9. Maintains accurate and detailed activity files for accreditation
needs, physician credentialing needs, and financial reports
required by industry supporters.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
