(any one of the following): |
1. Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public
health, psychology, or mathematics and 6 years experience as
Programmer Analyst I or equivalent; use of major statistical
packages (SAS, SPSSx, or BMDP), and 1 year computing experience
programming with mainframe and DOS-based computer.

| Job Duties |
1. Provides statistical programming for required analyses using
SAS software on PC mainframe computers; provides data entry if
needed.
2. Consults with faculty, staff, and students about statistical
problems.
3. Interprets and writes up statistical results, including tables and
graphs in language understandable by client; reviews results with
user; reviews manuscripts if client desires.
4. Troubleshoots programming, checking results and reports for
accuracy.
5. Keeps current in statistical methods and computing skills;
researches to find techniques for nonstandard statistical analyses.
6. Records time for billing clients and reviews monthly bills.
7. Team-teaches "Critical Reading of Literature" course.
8. May supervise biostatistical consultants and/or data entry
operators of lower grade.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
