(any one of the following): |
1. Associates degree or equivalent experience in electronics
telecommunications and/or computer technology. Three (3) years
experience in telecommunications and repair. Must have experience
with the installation of fiber optic cable terminations (ST/SC/MTRJ
connectors). Must have valid Texas driver's license.

| Job Duties |
1. Performs quality checks, uses procedures for telecommunications
installation process and best practices.
2. Designs new switch rooms, intermediate distribution rooms, and
building distribution rooms.
3. Calculates labor and material costs.
4. Work with and monitor contractors working in environment.
5. Confirms accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panel
and equipment.
6. Performs quality checks, uses procedures for telecommunications
installation process and best practices.
7. Lead or assist with technical site implementation activities.
8. Assist Repair Technicians, Telecom Analysts, Maintenance
Technicians and/or Network Engineers in resolution of voice/data
problems.
9. Write quality plans and procedures.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
11. Calculates labor and material costs.
12. Assists Repair Technicians, Installation Technicians, Telecom
System Administration, and/or Campus Wide Network Groups in
resolution of related voice/data problems.
