| Job Duties |
1. Designs innovative layouts for new or current Web sites,
microsites, online promotions, ad banners, interactive applications
and other online interfaces.
2. Develops information architecture and navigation for complex,
multi-level sites with many sections and pages that cross-link.
3. Ensures all work output incorporates stakeholder requirements,
employs best practices in UI, navigation, usability and works in
browser platforms (including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari,
etc. for both PC and Mac).
4. Collaborates closely with business analysts, Web developers
and HTML/Flash specialists on implementing static and interactive
designs.
5. Supports and expands upon institutional branding efforts, as well
as business, market and user requirements.
6. Stays abreast of current trends in Web design, usability
and information architecture.
7. Oversees the work of freelance Web designers if necessary.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

| Comments |
Work requires knowledge of web design vocabulary and strong familiarity
with standard concepts,practices and procedures of Web design. Requires
skill in front-end web design with advanced experience using Illustrator
Photoshop and Dreamweaver and strong knowledge and understanding of w3c
and 508 Web accessibility standards. Must have strong knowledge and
understanding of information architecture and organization skills and
understanding of HTML, CSS and browser limitations, with coding exp.
a plus. Incumbent must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
with minimal direction with excellent oral and written communication
skills. Must be able to work under deadlines, juggle multiple projects
